Director of Athletics and Activities, Matt McKinnon, is pleased to announce that the Dighton-Rehoboth football team is the latest recipient of the “We Are DR - DRiven to Serve” award. Superintendent Bill Runey met with the team and presented them with the #WeAreDR championship belt. The football team gave their free time to refresh the DRRHS weightroom with fresh paint and other upgrades.
When meeting with the team, Runey praised Coach Kevin Gousie, his staff, and the players while expressing that it was a selfless act ignited by school pride as many students and staff utilize that facility. McKinnon added, “This award is a reflection of the values we promote on this team. It's more than just football; it's about character, leadership, and making a difference in the community. We're honored to have such outstanding young men in this program.”

This week, we celebrate the incredible work of our school bus drivers and remind our entire community about the importance of keeping our students safe on the road. 🚸
Safety Tips for Students: ✔️ Be on time for your bus stop. ✔️ Stay 10 feet away from the bus while waiting. ✔️ Wait for the driver's signal before crossing the street. ✔️ Stay seated and listen to your driver.
Safety Reminders for Drivers: 🚨 Always stop when the bus has its stop sign extended. 🚨 Be extra cautious in school zones and bus loading areas. 🚨 Slow down, especially when you see flashing yellow lights.

Today began NOT as a typical day. I was excited for our first “official” Day of DR Pride. As I walked across each campus with Dr. Souza, one thing became evident: despite having five schools across two towns, we are united as ONE DR! AND…THE WINNER IS…Beckwith Middle School. Members of the DR Pop Warner football and cheer programs that are wearing their uniforms will receive free entry.
